Whaling
 Save a Whale, Harpoon a Jap Whales vs Kangaroos.
Why is whaling wrong? Is it because we shouldn’t kill majestic creatures? If that is the reason, we better stop killing and eating kangaroos here in Australia. Is it intelligence levels? I’ve met some people more stupid that aquatic mammals – can I kill them? Is it because they are endangered? Then sustainable whaling must be ok. Is it because we shouldn’t kill animals? Sorry, I love a steak too much for that argument. Why do we focus on protecting animals when millions of humans die cruel, needless deaths every year and we don’t have the militant environmentalists intervening to prevent that form of genocide.
Sorry, I’m yet to hear a convincing argument about why whaling is wrong. I think it is a terrible thing but that is just my opinion. I know others think the culling of kangaroos is a crime but I’ve got no problem with it as long as it is quick and painful. If I’d grown up in Iceland, Norway or Japan having whale jerky on my cornflakes, I probably wouldn’t see the problem with it either. So let us know what you think? Where is the argument against whaling that balances the cultural, ethical and moral concerns raised above? I for one would like to hear it so we could finally stop the killing.
