Drive-train: All internally lubricated parts within the manual transmission assembly, Differential centre.

Electrical System: Alternator/Generator, Starter Motor

BBraking System: Brake master cylinder, Brake booster

Conditions:

1. You will maintain the vehicle through regular routine maintenance *(engine oil & Filter change safety check minimum) at intervals of 6 mths/5,000km (whichever is first) for petrol engine vehicles and every 3 mths/5,000 km (whichever is first) for diesel engine vehicles. Failure to service the vehicle regularly will forfeit ANY claim. We do ask for evidence of servicing when a claim is lodged, so please ensure the supplied service record sheet is updated as required. Servicing is FREE for 12 months from purchase date (minus the costs of replacement parts) at all Wicked Depots in Australia so we insist you service your vehicle every 5000kms to ensure it remains in a good condition.

2. You will contact Wicked Campers immediately on 1800 24 68 70 when you are aware of a serious defect in the vehicle, so that we can inform you of the nearest repair centre and help facilitate speedy repair. IF YOU FAIL TO CONTACT US BEFORE REPAIRS ARE CARRIED OUT, YOUR WARRANTY MAY BE VOIDED.

3. You will contact your roadside assistance provider - (RACQ, RAC etc) if a serious defect occurs so that they can tow the vehicle (if required) to a repair centre, to prevent further damage to the vehicle. Towing costs are at your expense. We suggest you take the highest level of roadside assistance cover available.

4. If you ignore the engine temperature gauge (and thereby overheat or cook your engine) – you void your warranty. The temperature gauge on your van should never go over the half way mark – if it does you need to immediately stop driving and check the vehicle for oil and water.

Million-Dollar Travel Tip: Travel slow on hot days to minimise your risk of overheating the engine – Look after your investment and it will look after you! If you cook your engine and blow your head gasket – you void your warranty, so treat your van with lots of love!

FAQ’s

Q: Can I contact Wicked Campers about a Van Sale?

A: Of Course – our Roadtrip Planners are sexy and excited about hearing your voice. Give them a call: 1800 24 68 69

Q: How many people can fit in each vehicle?

A: Seat belts are mandatory in Australia. The number of passengers depends on the number of seat belts - which depends on the vehicle. Driving/riding in a car without a seatbelt or driving with more passengers than seatbelts each result in on the spot fines. Our 2-Seater Vans only have seatbelts for 2 people and our 3-Seater vans only have 3 seatbelts.

Q: Do I need a special license?

A: You may travel with a valid international drivers license, or any full, valid license from your country of residence. A translation of your national drivers license may be required.

Q: Is it legal for a people who are not Australian residents to own a car?

A: There is no problem for visitors to Australia to own a car and you must abide by the same laws as Australians.

Q: Do I need to carry spare parts for the car?

A: You might want to carry a couple of hoses or belts. Our vehicles are all covered by a limited warranty and servicing is free for 12 months (excluding labour). You can also purchase roadside assistance from the RAC.

IMPORTANT DEFINITIONS & CONDITIONS:

Parts Warranty:

This is a guarantee that we will supply you with any necessary parts during the warranty period. Purchaser will however be responsible for any delivery costs. You can choose to have these parts fitted by a third party mechanic (at your cost) or at any of our major metropolitan depots (at your cost).

Petrol Vehicles Period of cover – Wicked Campers responsibility and liability ceases once the vehicle has travelled 10,000km, or once 12-Months (whichever occurs first) has passed, since the date of sale.

Diesel Vehicles Period of cover – Wicked Campers responsibility and liability ceases once the vehicle has travelled 5,000km, or once 6-Months (whichever occurs first) has passed, since the date of sale.

In the event that you cannot prove the exact distance travelled due to a faulty odometer or for any other reason, the validity of the claim will be at the sole discretion of Wicked Campers.

Compulsory Third Party Insurance (CTP Insurance):

The minimum legally required insurance is included with all registered vehicles. This is the compulsory third party personal (CTP) insurance.

CTP insurance covers the driver for liability with regards to claimants health and medical costs. It may not cover the driver who should have his or her own travel or health insurance.

In Australia Third Party Property Insurance is not compulsory. Third Party Property Insurance covers you against liability for damage your vehicle might cause to other people's property, usually the other vehicle in an accident.

Deposits:

Once a deposit is placed on a vehicle at any of our locations, you are legally bound to purchase that vehicle and payment in full is expected. You are not legally entitled to a refund of the deposit. Wicked Campers will never demand full payment if you decide after placing a deposit that you no longer wish to purchase the vehicle. However, Wicked Campers will only refund deposits in exceptional circumstances and entirely at its discretion.
