We got introduced to our Wicked Camper, Alice Cooper, in Melbourne. Impressed by the wicked design, we went straight to the mall and bought an Alice Cooper CD. Our plan was: listen at least two times a day, so we know every word by heart after seven weeks. Let's Rock Alice!
Our first night with Alice in a car park was quite Wicked. Almost fast asleep, we got woken up by a bright flash of light. Our first thought: Oh shit, the police. But as it turned out, some guys were just taking a couple of pictures of Alice. These guys were not the only ones who were fascinated by Alice's outward appearance. Several people came up to us and started talking about our car. Travelling with Alice was the best way of meeting new people. Some even invited us to stay on their driveway. We felt quite special between all the other "regular" campervans (Sorry Britz and Maui, but you are just too boring! Is there actually a Britz or Maui culture? I guess not).
The wicked culture rules the world!!! It is just so cool to see there wicked vans and know that you are part of this culture. Our seven weeks with Alice traveling between Melbourne and Alice Springs were unforgettable. Thank you Alice for being so reliable and such a good buddy during our travels and thank you WICKED! |
